Taj Falaknuma Palace unveils The Falaknuma Festival

Taj Falaknuma Palace saw a spectacular evening on February 4^th, 2014 when HH Princess Esra along with The Taj Group of Hotels unveiled the much awaited ‘Falaknuma Festival’- an annual property introduced by the Palace. The festival was an orchestra of the best of everything – from dream-like venues and inventive cuisine to magical experiences and electrifying performances.

The star studded event saw the glitterati in attendance as several personalities from diverse fields such as Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Ex Tourism Secretary, Harish Peddi IBM, noted architects Siraj & Renu Hassan, Senior Director Corporate Affairs Dr. Reddys Siraj Attari graced the event with their presence.

The evening started with a medley of curated experiences where guests enjoyed signature cocktails at The Jade Terrace in the company of  HH Princess Esra, Prince Azmet, Princess Shehkar, followed by a grand unveiling of ‘The Falaknuma Festival’ by Mr. Jayesh Ranjan Vice-Chairman & Managing Director,
A.P.Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited. A three hour spellbinding performance by acclaimed artists Susheela Raman and The Dualers enthralled the audience.

Susheela Raman, who has inspired countless musicians, had the audience dancing to Ye Meera Divanapan Hai  & Amba. Revered SKA and Reggae band, The Dualers, involved guests in a high energy act when they performed their hit numbers such as Chinaman Ska, Don’t Go, Kiss on the Lips, Cool Under Fire.

The grand finale to the cultural extravaganza led to a gala dinner at the 101, Jade Terrace, Durbar Hall where Chef Arun Sundararaj served an elaborate Hyderabadi menu which included machli ka salan, haleem, subzi miloni, gosht ka pasanda, malai subz kofta.

An enduring tribute to the rich cultural legacy of the city, The Falaknuma Festival recreated the romance of princely India with customized experiences and a range of bespoke unforgettable moments.
