Over 656 Students receive degrees at ITM University annual convocation

- 215 students were given scholarships amounting to Rs 1.55 crores
For students of ITM University, it was a day of fulfillment and fruition as they returned to their alma mater with enthusiasm and vigor to attend the annual convocation and receive their hard earned degrees.
There was celebration all around as 656 students, who passed out from the University with flying colors, were awarded their degrees today.
Among the students who were awarded degrees were 548 B Tech pass outs, 65 M Tech, 13 MBA and 1 LLM.
It was the second annual convocation of the University, and the fourteenth and the last degree distribution ceremony of Maharishi Dayanand University for BTech autonomous batch.
The function was presided over by UPSC Chairman Professor D P Agrawal, who as the chief guest wished the students good luck and asked them to take on the challenges with vigour. He also commended the University’s efforts of providing fee concessions and scholarships to meritorious student’s and praised its ‘student first’ ideology despite being a private and unaided varsity.
Joy and enthusiasm was palpable at the campus as the alumni collected their degrees and rejoiced while sharing memorable moments with their friends.
Speaking at the occasion, Prof Prem Vrat, Vice Chancellor of the ITM University lauded the achievement of the students.“It is a proud moment for the University to see our students graduating and preparing themselves to make a mark in the professional world. What they have been taught here, now they can step outside and apply that knowledge practically. We wish our students create a niche for themselves and take the institute’s name to greater heights,” said the proud Vice Chancellor.
Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded to 24 candidates who topped in their respective streams. Besides, 215 students were given scholarships amounting to Rs 1.55 crores.
